Why is LIC doing this to the public?
At the present time, many people must have taken insurance policies like LIC and policies from many other companies. Almost everyone knows that LIC sells a lot of policies because there are many LIC agents in India, and many people also buy LIC policies.

This is a good thing. There should be some investment in life because it can be useful in the future. This is a positive thing, and people invest their money thinking that after 10–20 years, the money they have invested, whether it is ₹12,000–₹13,000 or any other amount, will become useful for them in the future.
But if a person faces some problem in the middle and wants to discontinue or surrender the policy, LIC says that the person has to pay the premium for three years before the policy can be surrendered.
My question to LIC is: Why not make a rule that allows a person to discontinue or surrender the policy at any time? And whatever money the person has invested should be returned.
It is not necessary that the person investing the money is rich. That person could also be poor. Everyone can face financial problems in life, so there should be a rule that gives people the option to discontinue their policy when they genuinely need to.
