“PM Modi’s Birthday: Should We Celebrate a Leader or Focus on People’s Real Issues?

September 17 is the birthday of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Whether people wish him or not is their personal choice. However, I still do not understand why some people treat the Prime Minister like a God.
The Prime Minister is a human being, just like us. We, the people, elect our representatives and give them the responsibility of leading the country. So, why should a political leader be treated like a God?
Some people are making videos and asking citizens to switch off the lights in their homes for one hour on September 17 and light lamps instead. There is nothing wrong if someone personally wants to do this. Whether someone lights a lamp or switches off the lights is their own choice.
But the bigger question is: What benefit does this bring to ordinary people?
People need better education, employment opportunities, affordable living, and relief from rising prices. These issues also deserve serious attention and discussion.
The Prime Minister celebrating his birthday is a personal matter, and there is nothing wrong with that. But asking ordinary citizens to switch off their household lights and light lamps is a different matter. In my view, a political leader should focus more on issues that directly benefit the people.
Instead of simply celebrating a leader, people should also ask questions about education, employment, inflation, healthcare, and other issues that affect their daily lives.
